Sanbona is an adult male cheetah. He was captured by our team in order to assess the damage to his foot and to prepare him for relocation to a new reserve.

It is crucial to the Cheetah population of South Africa that these animals are regularly moved around as the gene pool is not big enough for animals to remain on one reserve for their entire lifetime. Fences and man-made barricades have made natural movement of this species impossible so Saving the Survivors is always on hand to assist with these translocations.
