Saving the Survivors are happy to announce that, Harvey, the White Rhino has healed in record time!
Harvey was sadly shot and horns hacked off in October 2018. Saving the Surivors, with assistance, quickly determined the extent of Harvey’s injury. We also saw how it was affecting him.
Harvey’s sinuses were exposed and the wound was severely infected. However, team STS treated him with antibiotic dressings and a fibreglass cover. Later, the dressing was completed with elephant skin, which acted as a cover.
This is a huge leap of success for Saving the Survivors, and the welfare of wild animals. Thank You to Dr. Gary Bauer for his assistance, during this treatment.
